In Venice, Italy it has been said that "light and water combine to create a restless magic." In an effort to extend Venice's reputation as a magical atmosphere, CARDI has introduced the Venetian Collection. Brides and grooms will be pleased to notice that the multi-colored Venetian fabric makes it effortless to coordinate with bridesmaid dresses.
RETAIL VS RENTAL?
Often times, customers will ask why the Venetian Vest Collection is categorized only under "Retail Vests" and not under "Rental Vests." After all, literally hundreds of formal wear stores across the country are "renting" the Venetian vests out to customers. Many times, we will even have storeowners call us and tell us that the Venetian is their best renting tuxedo vest out of all their styles from all manufacturers.
The Venetian Vest Collection was initially designed as a "Retail Item" which includes higher-end interwoven fabric, functional pockets, self tie neckwear, etc. Although this is a beautiful fabric, it does tends to be a little "loftier" and more delicate; therefore, it will not take the same level of abuse as our successful rental vest collections such as Premier Solid Satin, Luxury Herringbone, or Palermo.
When we first showed the Venetian fabric to accounts, storeowners requested we make this collection with pre-tied neckties in addition to our self-tie neckties. Listening to our customers, we did provide both options in our in-stock programs. Even though we continually promote Venetian as a "retail item," storeowners continue to successfully rent them to their customers.
For those storeowners who prefer to include the retail Venetian Vest Collection in their rental line, we recommend that you wash on a low cycle and then hand iron. (NOTE: commercial drycleaning is not recommended with the Venetian Vest Collection).
As we've reiterated time and time again, the Venetian Vest Collection is technically a "Retail Vest"; however, if you too would like to promote this collection as a "rental vest" (like hundreds of other accounts), we suggest that you test one out on your own and make your own decision. If you outsource all your drycleaning, the Venetian may not be a good fit for you on a rental level. If you do normally wash your vests on gentle cycle and then use a hand iron, you may find that the Venetian will fit well into your product line.
